Quotes
How do I ask for a quote?
Use the form on our Get a Free Quote page. Tell us your suburb and list each job, and we will reply with questions or a written quote.
Do quotes cost anything?
No. Quotes are free and you are under no obligation to accept.
Why are there no prices on the website?
Jobs vary too much. Wall type, access, materials and the condition of existing work all change the time involved, so we quote each request in writing.
Can you quote from photos?
Often, yes. Clear photos with something for scale let us quote many jobs without a visit. Larger or unclear jobs may need a short look first.
What if you find more work once you start?
We stop and talk to you before doing anything outside the agreed scope.
Can I add jobs to my list later?
Yes. Let us know before the visit so we can plan time and materials.
Services
What kinds of jobs do you do?
Repairs and installations around the home: doors, plaster, painting touch-ups, fences, gates, decks, shelving, TV mounting, flat-pack, silicone, tiling repairs, gutters, flyscreens, carpentry and more. See our services page for all 22.
Do you do electrical or plumbing work?
No. Electrical, plumbing and gas work must be done by licensed tradespeople in Victoria. We will tell you if your list includes these.
Can you replace a light fitting or power point?
No, that is electrical work and needs a licensed electrician. We can mount a TV, but new power points behind it need an electrician.
Do you handle asbestos?
No. In homes built before 1990 we check for suspected asbestos before cutting or drilling and will stop and advise you if we find it.
Do you do structural work or renovations?
No. We do repairs, maintenance and small carpentry, not structural changes or full renovations.
Can you do one small job?
Yes, although combining several jobs into one visit makes better use of the time.
Can you build a new deck?
Our focus is repairs, re-boarding, steps and maintenance. Larger new decks may need a permit and a builder; we will advise.
Materials
Do you supply materials?
Yes, we can supply common materials and fittings. If you have chosen specific items, such as handles or a TV bracket, you can buy them and we will install them.
Can you match existing paint?
If you have the original paint or its details, we can use it. Otherwise touch-ups on older paint may show, and painting the whole wall is often better.
Can you match old tiles?
Sometimes. Spare tiles left by the builder are ideal. If none exist, finding an exact match can be hard; we will discuss options.
Booking and visits
How soon can you come?
It depends on the workload and the size of the job. We will give you a time when we quote.
Do I need to be home?
Not always. Many jobs can be done with key access or a lockbox, by arrangement.
Do you clean up afterwards?
Yes. We protect floors, clean up and take away the rubbish from our work.
Do you work on weekends?
Weekend and after-hours work can sometimes be arranged, especially for businesses.
Rentals and businesses
Do you work for property managers?
Yes. We handle work orders, collect keys, take photos and report on anything outside the scope.
Can you help tenants with end-of-lease repairs?
Yes. We can patch picture-hook holes, fix minor damage and repair screens before the final inspection.
Should a tenant fix holes before leaving?
Check your lease and talk to your agent first. Many agents prefer properly patched and painted holes over unrepaired ones.
Do you do commercial work?
Yes, for shops, offices, clinics and warehouses, including make-good repairs.
Areas
Which suburbs do you cover?
Berwick, Narre Warren, Narre Warren North, Narre Warren South, Narre Warren East, Hallam, Hampton Park, Harkaway, Lynbrook and Lyndhurst.
Do you go outside those suburbs?
Sometimes, for nearby areas. Ask through the quote form.
Do you work on acreage in Harkaway and Narre Warren North?
Yes, including gates, fences, decks and gutters on larger properties.
Safety
Do you work on roofs?
We clean gutters on single-storey homes with proper ladder safety. Steep or two-storey roofs need a roof specialist with height safety equipment.
How do you avoid drilling into pipes or cables?
We scan walls before drilling and plan fixing points around services.
